COURSE UPDATE

BY admin February 24, 2022

In recent weeks our greenkeepers were busy on our fairways carrying out a process known as shockwaving. This is to alleviate compaction of the turf and aeration to the soil. This leads to better playing conditions which members will see the benefits of as we progress through the weeks and months ahead.

WEEKEND TIMESHEETS UPDATE

BY admin February 24, 2022

With the new season on the horizon and daylight hours stretching longer, the weekend timesheets from the 5th March will revert back to 18 holes.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members for their support doing the winter months and for helping with the success of the winter timesheets at the weekends.

We wish everyone all the best for the golfing season ahead and will see you at the course soon.

LADY CAPTAIN’S LOG 24.2.22

BY admin February 24, 2022

Hi Ladies,

This is my last contribution to the Newsletter as your Captain. It has been an honour and a privilege to have been your Lady Captain for the past year. I know we didn’t get going until April, but I’m sure you will agree we had a good year and we made some special memories.

It remains for me to say thank you to each and every one of you for your support over the course of the year. It didn’t improve my golf but it did make my Captaincy enjoyable. To my fantastic committee I also say thank you and to Denise Larkin our new Lady Captain and her committee I wish you every success in your endeavours for the year. I know we will be in good hands with Denise at the helm.

I would also like to say a special thank you to Craig, Donal, and the lads in the Clubhouse for their engagement and support throughout the year. I would particularly like to thank them for their trojan work selling raffle tickets for our Play in Pink Competition.

We have a wonderful club and I’m proud to be part of it.

Yours,
Catherine
Lady Captain.
